Understanding Food Supplements
Please find attached a copy of the latest newsletter from the Nutrigold Education Team entitled "Supplement Quality and Nutritional Benefit" by Dr Plaskett B.A, Ph.D., C.Chem. for those of you who want to get the very best out of food supplements it makes for compelling reading.
In our view this subject couldn’t be more topical, as we know this is the time of year when people start to consider how they want to support their friends and family through the winter months, especially with the added issue of Swine FLU etc. To many of you it won’t have come as any surprise to see the latest scientifically unfounded attack on the nutritional supplement industry by Brian Ratcliffe in The Daily Mail on September 10th 2009 entitled "Multivitamin pills can do you more harm than good"
Of course we strongly disagree with Brian Ratcliffe’s views and feel that this kind of inappropriate, poorly researched, one sided journalism, should not go unchallenged and so please see below The Nutrigold Education Teams response, which we will be circulating to journalists.

However such reports do make one stop and think about which nutrients have the real ability to deliver on their nutritional promise and are there some nutrient forms that are best avoided?
We feel that the real issue here is to remind ourselves of the importance of understanding how important it is to deliver a truly effective nutritional regime to the consumer. To do this one has to have a reasonably in-depth knowledge of what results you are trying to achieve and which nutrients have been demonstrated to have a real ability to deliver on their nutritional promise. To understand this complicated issue fully, we suggest you take a closer look at the latest Nutrigold Education Service newsletter entitled "Do we really need to take a food supplement or are they all just a waste of time?" As all nutrients are created far from equal.
Why Nutrigold Citrizorb Minerals really do deliver on their promise
